If everyone knew what the potential root causes for illness and dis-ease were, there would be a lot more stories of healing. Yet we do know what many of the potential causes are, in the form of diet, life style and stress. And we also have a lot more tools at our disposal to help us uncover the root causes for each individual. I believe it is only a "subtle shift" to get this knowledge into the hands of everyone. It will take practitioners having the courage to engage patients, activists (I call them healthcare evolutionaries) pushing their messages forward, patients taking the time to become educated and accept their own empowerment, etc.

I have believed for a while that now is the time to come together and 'be the change', to get these messages delivered, to build communities both physical and virtual. By doing so, we can create healthy communities and a side effect will be the healing of the healthcare system.

This group could be a major force. We can be a big part of "the solution". I have lots of ideas, and I'm sure there are a lot more within the group.

Does this resonate with you? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Espavo (thank you for stepping into your power),

Ken

Hi Ken,

I am new to the site and very excited because you see I have had the opportunity to be on both sides. I have been a patient (40 years) a therapist and now a healer who works with Original Wound Healing and taps into the root cause of the dis-ease. Through my own miraculous healing journey after 18 surgeries and 40 years of a progressive degenerative neurological disease, I stepped out of the medical box (I actually exhausted it) and opened widely to alternative modalities including spiritual and metaphysical. I have completely transcended the disease, mind, body and spirit. Today I live in grace and gratitude and believe we all have the potential to heal. We have to say yes!  I was a licensed occupational therapist in New York for 25 years and now bridge my clinical expertise, spiritual knowing and body of proof that healing is possible. So yes yes yes to all you postulate. I am glad I found this site.  Laura

Laura,
This is an awesome story. We all know that there are lots of stories of people being healed even when those within the system didn't see it as possible. It's great to have someone within the community with this experience. I look forward to hearing more.
Cheers, Ken

Ken,

Thank you for your reply. My hand surgeon says I'm a miracle. I say, I opened widely to taking healing into my own hands and did the work.We must love ourselves enough and trust we can heal our life, our old stories that keep us in abeyance.  That's when miracles happen. We have to do the journey. I was told at 21 I would be in a wheelchair at 25 and dead by 40 due to respiratory failure.  I lost a millimeter a month of muscle strength and knew I couldn't quit.  I went to NYU and became an occupational therapist even undergoing 15 reconstructive tendon transfers and bone fusions just so I could hold my fork, pen etc.  At 43 my hand surgeon advised me to stop working or I wouldn't have hands at 50 so I  did. I stepped into spirituality and metaphysics and at 50 started a new life path when I said yes to healing. I said, "Either I heal or I am out of here."  From that day forward I met healers who assisted me along the way. Today I bring my passion and knowing to those clients who are willing to say yes and heal their life as I did. Along the way, I became an intuitive and medium as I "see" the original wound, the chronological age and chakra where the root cause is. The rest is recapitulation. I didn't just heal physically, I healed my heart and live each day in grace for all that was, all that is, and all that will be. I get it. I know what it means. I am passionate and I assist others to live the miracle. Wishing you a blessed day, Laura

Hi Laura,

I am new to this site. I was guided to Lissa after many trails of failed conventional medicine. I have been having an excruciating pain in my left ring finger since July. I've gone to serval Drs., had numerous test ( nerve conduction study and was given dx.of Rt carpal tunnel syndrome, although they did the study on my left hand). I later began having problems with my bowels and had to insist the Dr. R/o parasites, worms and do blood work for defiencies. They eventually Dx me with an Autoimmune dz.Arthiritis. I recently went to see a functional medicine Dr. Who surprised me by rx 100 dollars worth of blood pressure medicine. I grateful to have found this site because it is obvious that one has to trust and believe that we have the power to heal ourselves. Thank you for sharing your story and giving me the confidence to begin this quest in a supportive community. Shelda
Hi Shelda,

I share the same diagnosis with you, diagnosed with RA in 2008. I discovered Lissa a few years later and have been on a heck of a journey since, I call it my healing journey. While I haven't become completely free of symptoms yet, my understanding of the mind-body-spirit connection and how it relates to me has been very impactful. Lissa's work has also been very impactful for me, as has my own growth to "step into my greatness", something I encourage everyone else to do but have had struggles doing the same for me.

Thank you for your response. I have been having a challenge trying to respond to your reply. I hope this one reaches you. Nonetheless, I am grateful that I found this site. I read your Manifesto and I am encouraged.

Thank you for sharing,

Hi Shelda,

Got it. Let me know if you have any questions, thoughts or feedback for the site.

Cheers, Ken

I found that the root cause of disease is to be found in our perceptions and what I have come to realize are "manufactured beliefs". My discoveries lead me to realize that the body is not a machine but purpose-driven. Ideas that we uphold with confidence, which we consider are real or true, have a profound effect on the body because our reactions to those ideas are all bodily reactions.

I had an experience in 2000 when I was going to leave my late husband and his move to manipulate me that had profound effect on my health and in a very short space of time. I have discussed this in my introductory video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nxUl19yZU0&list=PL0vGp6lNGae1V...

It turned my "scientifically trained mind" around. I began to question everything I had learnt at university and had accepted without question. I realized that at university I was taught in a way that sold me the paradigm that "the body is a machine, which can malfunction or get damaged, and that this malfunctions and damage are disease"

I saw many other foul games of toxic people at later times but because my husband finally agreed to reveal to me what some people do to gain power and influence over others in their lives, I was able to overcome all of them. When you understand the foul game play and the cheats that they use, you can easily react differently and not suffer.

I found this also with cancer. I had two spontaneous remissions that pointed to what I could only see at the time as "bad influences" of some other people in my life. But on the third occasion I used Vipassana or insight meditation and look at what was happening in my body. And I saw a correlation between what I was experiencing in my personal life. This lead me to be able to deliberately effect spontaneous remission.

Hi Ken,

I, too, have a burning desire to be a catalyst for change in our healthcare system.  Like Lissa, I spent 15 years in healthcare only to become frustrated, angered, and disillusioned by our current disease model.  After 5 years of reading, research and education into holistic medicine triggered by an autoimmune diagnosis, I have had the huge goal of changing healthcare by educating physicians and nurses about nutrition and the mind/body connection.  I have such compassion for these amazing people who heroically do their jobs despite long hour, draining interactions, and huge obstacles and who despite their medical knowledge are some of the unhealthiest people I know, physically and spiritually.  These people deserve to be lifted up but instead are constantly being torn down.  I can't begin to explain the impact Dr. Rankin's books have had on me - I now know I'm not alone on my quest.  So grateful, too, for this forum where I have found my karass.  Be well - Julie

Hi Julie,

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply, and sorry I've taken a while to respond. Your story is almost word-for-word as how I share mine. While connecting and working with Lissa and this community, I also have developed a business plan and call to action for "creating Healthy Communities". I so agree that it is time to come together and focus on our strengths rather than continually lining up and taking sides and insisting on "being right" rather than "doing right". Your words are really resonating this morning, I'm going to pop over to Facebook and see if you're there. Let me know what I can do to help you act on your burning desire, we're all in this together.

Hi Ken,

Love the Malcolm X quote!  I would definitely like to volunteer for the San Diego event in May - Pearl has my contact information.  I certainly want to help you in any way I can.  In the meantime, I am actually looking for a position so if you or anyone you know needs to add anyone to their team, let me know!  I just want to do anything I can to further this mission.  If there is anything I can do to help YOU let me know.  I'd be very interested in hearing the business plan if it's something you can share.

Julie
